Yesterday, Patrick Bell and I guest-presented a session on the 'AFC Sudbury For Our Community' Social Value Project at the University of Westminster, as part of the Ethics, CSR and Sustainability in Sport module for final-year Sports Management BA (Hons) students.
The module explores social issues in sport, and our lecture focused on the social impact football clubs in the UK can create and how they can positively influence their communities. It was a great opportunity to discuss the social value measurement framework developed with AFC Sudbury, highlighting the initiatives promoted by the Club and its potential, as well as sharing ideas.
A special thanks to lecturers Igor Vecanski and Anees Ikramullah for this amazing opportunity. It was an absolute pleasure to do so at a university I know very well! Thank you to all the students — I wish you all the best for your future!
